The following patches will work against nukes : OOBNuke, Winnuke, Jolt, SSPING, IceNuke et TearDrop

Windows 95 - Patches for Winsock x.x (Windows 95 default)

Proceed following the steps, don't jump anything (else restart at step 1).

Step 1 : Install the update MS Winsock Update (wsockupd.exe) then reboot. This file is required for MSDUN 1.2 update.

Step 2 : Install the MS DUN 1.3 udapte then reboot. This file is required for Winsock patches.

Step 3 : Install the Winsock 2.2 (ms_wsock2setup.exe) update then reboot. This file is required to use release 2.2.

You are now ready to install a firewall (or at least nukenabber)..

Windows NT - 4

If your NT have no Service Pack !!! It's now time to update it (Year 2000 , bug fixes), any other idea is useless...

Step 1 : Install Service Pack 6 or better (nt4sp6_i.exe).

The following patches will work against nukes : IGMP
 

*Sending fragmented IGMP packets to Windows 95 or 98 or WIN NT 4.0, it is possible to stop the system. This vulnerability aims mainly Windows 95 et 98.

*To solve the problem, download the patch for your system and install it.
