 Everything goaes well while netsurfing, when ...the blue screen of the death (of windows) appears or the system freeze or you experience problems to keep connected to online servers (IRC, ftp, eg).

nuking consists in sending packets flows (IP) trying to use a break of your operating system. A not protected computer will suffer visible cnsequences for it's user. Sometimes, with some nukes, Windows 9x or Windows NT will stop with BSOD, or freeze,.... You'll need to reboot , reconnect, and maybe be attacked again. You could spend this time to do something else, or protecting yourself.
