 AOL PLUS DSL/firewall?

I am going onto AOL Plus DSL. I am on a dial up modem now. What do I need to know about installing and using a firewall that will work on this service? I am concerned about security but I have heard that some firewalls can mess around with how well you can access sites and programs. Any advice please?

Hello,

BlackIce is known to cooperate very well with AOL 4 and AOL 5. I've never testedit onto AOL ADSL but I think it would be ok !

You can try it, and if it's not working properly you can uninstall it.

I HAVE DOWNLOADED ZONEALARM AND AM USING IT WITH AOL 6.0 DSL....NO PROBLEMS.............

im useing AOL 6.0 with "powertools" for AOL and chat on other servers i have Zone Alarm and Stay Alive running at the same time and have not gotten booted or "punted" ...they have tried but failed
