Install the Winroute firewall

A - Downloading Winroute

You can choose either :

B - Installing the FireWall

B.1 - Needed pre-requisites (patch) before installing

This part only applies to Windows 95 (and Windows NT 4 Service Pack older than SP 3 ) :

It is necessary to have Winsock up to date, this means release 2.x. You can fo to site to make the appropriates things.

B.2 - Installing the FireWall

Run wrpxxen.exe (the installation file of winroute), answer the usual questions.

Restart.

C - Run the FireWall after rebooting

After reboot, go to Start Menu -> Programs -> Winroute :

And run Winroute Engine monitor. A small icon is added to the 'systray'.

The run Winroute Administration. The initial password is not set so just press Ok.

In the menu Windows Settings -> Account of 'WinRoute Administration', set now a password (you must remember it !).

D - Everything seems Ok
