Configure LookNStop v 2.x

Tests result is : 14.2 / 20 .

After having installed LookNStop 2, you can do the following :

How to install the rules ?

1. Run the LookNStop 2 FireWall (through the start menu of Windows)

2. In the Rule Set tab :

Clic the button Load... and choose StandradRuleSetsxxxx.rls provided with LookNstop (excellent !).

You should have a window similar to this one.

3. In the Options tab,

Select (check) your network card (if you have DSL or Cable) or the dialup adapter ( Modem, ISDN) linked to the Internet (check all if you are not sure !).

Autostart : Check System (efficient at the boot before logon).

3. Back in the RuleSet tab , check the option LookNStop Active .

4. In theSoftware Filter tab, check Software filtering (corner down right) :

When a software tries to use the network , the below warning window pop up :

Then you can make your choice (authorize/forbid) , which can be modify later.
